Dating - The Lunch Date
For first dates, the lunch date is popular, as many people find that going out to dinner may be too long of a time span for some people. A lunch date means that generally the date will be less formal and probably won’t last more than an hour or two. You also don't have to worry about going out after dinner.
Lunch dates are a great way to get to know the person when first dating and for some people, is about the right amount of time for talking. It can be as easy as meeting at a cafe or small bistro.
Just the fact that you will be meeting during the day makes it much less formal and ultimately more relaxing. You don't have to dress up, eat a big meal or worry about driving home after having a drink or two. While a glass of wine or two is fine, most people generally don't drink alcohol during the day.
For men, lunch dates are great as well, they aren't long, usually don't cost very much and you don't have to plan activities as you might have to for an evening meal. Lunch dates are a great way to get to know someone when first dating.
